Following Regulation 612 of the Education Act, Parkside Collegiate Institute has formed a School Council within the first 30 days of school. Through the active participation of parents/guardians, the purpose of a school council is, to improve student achievement and to enhance the accountability of the education system to parents/guardians.

A school council’s primary means of achieving its purpose is by making recommendations, in accordance with Regulation 612 of the Education Act, to the principal of the school. Please see this link for more information about School Councils in Ontario.

The planned dates for School Council meetings for the 2025-26 school year are:

• Wednesday, October 15th

• Wednesday, November 19th

• Wednesday, January 21st

• Wednesday, February 18th

• Wednesday, March 25th

• Wednesday, April 15th

• Wednesday, May 20th

Each meeting will take place from 6 to 7:30 PM in Parkside’s library. We look forward to working with parents/guardians through School Council.
